Make sure the browser permission prompt was allowed — look for a blocked mic icon in the address bar and click it to re-enable.
Check your operating system settings: the microphone must not be muted in Windows / macOS sound settings.
If you use multiple devices, open Windows sound settings and make sure the correct input device is the default.
Close other apps (video calls, recording software) that may be using the microphone exclusively.
If you are using a headset, confirm the mute switch on the cable or boom is off.
Try a different browser — some browsers handle USB and Bluetooth mics differently.
