Mean Arterial Pressure Calculator

MAP is the average pressure driving blood to your organs across a full heartbeat — the number ICU teams watch closely.

Peak pressure during a heartbeat.
Resting pressure between beats.
The formula
MAP = (SBP + 2 × DBP) ÷ 3
Target: 70–100 mmHg for good organ perfusion. In critical care, MAP ≥ 65 is the classic minimum.

The heart spends two-thirds of each cycle in diastole — which is why the diastolic number is weighted double.
